Today’s issue / wish list has been with adding spot elevations to a surface and making them rotate as I need them. While its nice that as a style you can set hard set angles there doesn’t seem to be an override for freely transforming the rotation angle. If you ever need to use the drag state there’s not an option within it to set a rotation angle or again have a freely transforming rotation angle.

DCCADD (www.dccadd.com) functions as my regional reseller and solution specialist and has provided an ok workaround. Since my pads are feature lines you can create a line label style that will label the line and pull the elevation from the selected surface. So until C3D allows you to attach the rotation angle of spot elevations to a feature I guess I’ll use that option. Thanks to Matt Castelli (http://tappingintoc3d.blogspot.com/)

I completely agree with this. I have the same wish list item. It would also be even better if spot elevations had the exact same options that point objects have. I.E. You can toggle subgrips and / or rotate them. Also it would be even better if points had an option to “stick” to a surface so that they would act as spot elevations.
